Chair, Catalysis Division, CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory, Pune

PhD from IIT Bombay (1996) in Organometallic Chemistry

Postdoctoral research as DAAD fellow in Karlsruhe Germany (1998)

Research areas

  • Environmental catalysis
  • Oxidative desulfurisation
  • Valorisation of bio-derived materials like glycerol, lactic acid, lactates, edible & non-edible oils
  • Development of mesoporous solid acid catalysts
  • In situ FTIR spectroscopic characterisation
  • Organometallic complexes for catalytic oxidations
